This 1.5 hour webinar will be led by Chloe Turner, the Primary Care Librarian for Derbyshire. The session will give you an opportunity to learn how to design an effective search strategy from your research question. We can use a standard question, or a pre-submitted one, if someone wants to submit one in advance. Learn how to find authoritative healthcare research effectively and efficiently, to support patient care, service improvement, research, professional development and coursework, with a focus on the CINAHL database.

 

Participants will learn how to:

·       Understand records, fields and indexing terms – laying the ground work for effective searching!

·       Design search strategies

·       Subject searching using Medical Subject Headings (MeSH)

·       Subject searching with keywords

·       Understand Limits and Filters

·       Handle results
