Theory outcomes

1. Recognise the importance of phlebotomy in a variety of settings.

2.Understand the equipment

3.Identify risks involved in venepuncture.

4. Demonstrate an understanding of infection control and health and safety principles in relation to phlebotomy practice.

5. Differentiate between arteries and veins.

 

Practical Phlebotomy Training (23rd march 2023)

This full day practical course is split into 2

• Simulated Practical Studies

• Simulated Competency Assessment

 

To begin, you will recap on all things theory which you will have studied before attending this session. you will then your technique on equipment simulating a real person 

 

 

 

 

Learners will achieve 3 individual certificates for their professional development records for full completion of the programme.
