Low calorie diet pilot training

Session led by GP Dr Kriss Owen clinical lead for diabetes Derby and Derbyshire CCG.

This session will equip you with all the training you need to safely refer patients with type 2 diabetes to the NHSE low calorie diet pilot.

It is suitable for any practice nurse, GP or pharmacist based in a Derbyshire practice.

You do not need to be a prescriber.

How to refer eligible participants safely to the NHS Low Calorie Diet Programme:

Participants lose an average of 10.4kg (9.2% of body weight) 

For each referral practices can claim £19 and a further £10 if the participant completes the programme by signing up to the SLA (contact [email protected])
