PA in GP supervision programme
In response to feedback from HEE leads and partners and following a successful pilot programme in 2019 to help GPs understand how to use physician associates (PAs) in practice, it became clear that practical help and guidance was needed to assist with ‘new to practice’ PA supervision. This aligns with the governments manifesto commitment (26,000 additional staff ) and we know that where the PA role has been implemented successfully they deliver proven benefits and flexibility to practice.
